Introduction
Father Pio said: "the soul who has chosen the divine love cannot remain egoistic in the heart of Jesus but will feel the heart burning also for the charity towards the brothers and sisters..." (Ep.III). "Since a long time I feel in me an urge to offer myself as a victim for the poor sinners and the souls in Purgatory" (EP.I). "The good that we pursue towards the others will obtain benefit also for the sanctification of our own soul..." (EP.II).Fr. Pierino Galeone was given by Fr. Pio the task to establish the Secular institute Servi della Sofferenza as a place where Fr Pio wants to be present in the Church in order to carry out its mission until the end of the world. Fr Pio transmitted his own spirituality to don Pierino. That is why through the homilies of don Pierino we get to know God's mercy and, through conversion, we have the experience of God; this experience then leads us to commit ourselves to obedience to the faith and therefore to be able to live within the Church the love of God who saves us.
Once, in a homily he said: often we address ourselves to Jesus, to the Mother of God, to the Saints to whom we are devoted, only in order to ask them for what is needed for human life, for the life on earth, and we hardly think of the things which belong to spiritual life, which concern the salvation of the soul, which belong to the Kingdom of Heaven. How many people are there who, even if they go to Church, never committed themselves to enter in an intimate communion with Christ by following His commands; as the intimate communion with Christ occurs through observing His Word.
I collected many of those homilies and published them on facebook; now I would like to put them together in "booklets" and send them to you. They will be of help to you and to others to persevere in the Church, on the way to salvation.
